This treatment is best accomplished with a Microneedling pen. The micro-channels created by the needles allow for quicker and deeper uptake of topical serums resulting in a 3000% improvement in absorption.
Microneedling is used for improvement in skin texture and firmness, reduction in wrinkles, fine lines, and scars. It is used to treat and improve acne, loose skin, pore size, and discolorations.

Microneedling is also shown to be effective on the scalp to promote hair growth. Studies show an increase in the number of hair strands and an increased thickness in individual hair strands.
Recent research shows that a shallower treatment depth of 0.5mm deep achieves the maximum results if performed at an oscillation of 18,000 RPM. If done correctly, this updated treatment almost never causes bleeding. Microneedling treatment is gentle and painless and should be done once a month to allow the normal repair process in the skin and once every two weeks for the scalp (hair loss). Results are seen and felt even after the first treatment. Skin should glow and feel tighter. Maximum results are usually achieved between 6-8 treatments.

Nanoneedling

Nanoneedling on the other hand works even more gently. It uses the same type of oscillating motion to treat the skin but the cartridge is composed if 126 bead shaped micro tips. These microscopic hair-like cones separate the cells within the epidermis to allow active products to be pushed into the skin.
Nanoneedling only affects the outer layer of the skin and does not puncture the dermis.
